Zoe passed Friday morning February 23rd with her husband and loving family holding onto her as she passed, after a hard battle fought trying to get her a new liver transplant. Zoe was born February 4th 1991, the youngest of 4 and the only daughter. From the time she was born she was handed a life that would be difficult due to her biliary atresia illness that would require a liver transplant to continue living. Zoe was blessed to have her uncle Israel Patino, donate a portion of his liver when she was 19 months old and giving her the chance to live. Though her life would have many health hardships, she never allowed her illness to make her bitter or resentful as it would have many. She used the blessing of her life and brought love, joy, and laughter to anyone who was fortunate enough to spend any time with her.
Zoe is survived by her husband Shane Hutchison, her father Armando Rivera Sr, her mother Chelo Rivera, three brothers Armando Rivera Jr, Jaime Rivera, Adam Rivera, niece Lumi Rivera, and nephews Armando Rivera III, and Leonidas Rivera. She will be missed, loved, and remembered eternally for how much joy, love, and laughter she brought everyone she encountered.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, March 1, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
