Winema Pearce, 77, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, June 21, 2001, in a local nursing home. No sevices are planned. She was born on June 1, 1924 in Durant, Oklahoma. Winema grew up in Durant, Oklahoma and lived there for many years. She had lived in Big Spring since 1974 and owned and operated a day care at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School. Survivors include one brother, Perry Pearce of Boca Roton, Florida; one sister, Virginia Sweeney of Big Spring; five nieces and nephews. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
