Willie Mae Hart, 90, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born June 28, 1931 in Silver Valley, Texas to Felix Grundy Templeton and Josie Farris Templeton.

Willie was raised in Coleman County and moved to Big Spring in the early 1950’s. She worked for the 7-11 Corporation for over 20 years. She moved to Haskell in 1995 and returned to Big Spring in 2019. She was an avid fisherman and sports fan, especially following the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include three children, Jim Bob Carter and wife, Edna of Rochester, Carla Shaw of Big Spring and Debbie Gressett and husband, Wayne of Haskell; five grandchildren, Teri Gonzales and husband, Frank, Misty Matthies and husband, Jimmy, Brenda Franklin, Toni Shaw and Tony Wyrick; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Templeton and James Templeton; a daughter, Donna Franklin; a son, Terry “Fuzzy” Carter; one granddaughter, Christy Carter; and two sons-in-law, Scott Hughes and Kenneth Franklin.
