Willie A. Goudeau peacefully passed away in his home on May 22, 2022. Willie was born January 28, 1922 in Goudeau, LA. He was the son of Willie F. and Effie Maxwell Goudeau, now deceased.
Willie graduated Evergreen High School in Evergreen, LA in 1938. He attended Louisiana State University and graduated in 1942 with a B.S. Degree in Petroleum Engineering. Immediately after graduation he entered the Army Corps of Engineers as a 2nd Lieutenant. He served 5 years during and after WWII and retired as a Major in 1947.
While in the service he married Marguerite Clarke Moreland of Big Cane, LA, on June 26, 1943. She was his devoted mate for 69 1/2 years.
After leaving the Service, Willie went to work for Chevron (then The California Co.) and worked 37 years, retiring in 1985. He worked in various capacities for Chevron and was Production Superintendent for West Texas and Southeast New Mexico at retirement.
Willie was a devout Christian and was a long time member of the Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland, TX. He served there as an elder for 12 years. He was loved and known by many as The “Richly Blessed” man.
Willie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marguerite, his son, Ronald Eugene Goudeau, and his brother, Philip. He leaves his 3 sons; William Glen Goudeau and wife Peggy of Mt. Pleasant, TX; Timothy Alan Goudeau and wife Marion of Midland, TX; John Nathan Goudeau and wife Sherri of Colorado Springs, CO. He also leaves 2 daughters; Antoinette Goudeau Nichols and husband Dale of Lecanto, FL, and Anita Rene’ Goudeau of Midland, TX. He also leaves 7 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 14 great grand children (with 2 more on the way).
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00am, Friday, May 27, 2022 at Golf Course Road Church of Christ. Private family burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, TX.

We would like to thank Trinity Provider Services for Willie’s caregiving over the past 1 1/2 years (most recently Maria, Flora and Jasmine) and the tender loving care of Hospice of Midland. We especially thank Anita Goudeau for her constant long term care and concern for her beloved father.
