Willie Eggleston Ringener, 95, of Big Spring, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2002. She was born on July 19, 1906 in Denton County, Texas and came with her parents, Claud and Bertha Eggleston, to Coahoma in November 1919. She married Jim Ringener on December 28, 1926 in Coahoma, Texas and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1990. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School for 48 years. She started teaching the card class at Coahoma Baptist Church at the age of 17 and ended her teaching with the Senior Lady's Class at Lenorah Baptist Church, which she gave up to take care of her Mother. She loved God and her family and also loved working with the Y.W.A., G.A., and Sunbeam Girls, who had a big place in her heart. She loved the Lord and loved to do His work. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, George W. and Nora Ringener of San Ramon, California; her grandson and his wife, Jimmy and Sandy Ringener of Hayward, California; her great grandson, Jarad Ringener of Hayward, California; one brother, Billie Eggleston of Midland; three sisters, Beatrice Hardin of Odessa, Helen Cowan of Denton and Faye Walker of Big Spring; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Eggleston of San Antonio. She is also survived by a number of nephews, nieces, cousins, dear friends, a sweet name sake, Velma Ruthe Wood of Coahoma and a number of special friends, Debbie Bagnell, Jennifer Bowman, Angela Hines, Missy Whitley, Patsy Riddle, Sabrina Cruz, Roxy Grissom, Nell Burgess, Dean Priest, Jean Sledge and Mary Odell. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Bertha Eggleston and five brothers, Elzia, Charles, Loris, Dee and Larence Eggleston. Pallbearers will be her nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, June 24, 2002, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Monroe Teeters, retired Baptist minister, officiating with Ben Neel assisting. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. The family will have a visitation for friends and relatives at the funeral home on Sunday, June 23, 2002, from 3 PM to 5 PM.
