William W. "Bill" Young, 83, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, in an Odessa hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 7, 2005 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.He was born on August 8, 1921 in Pascagoula, Mississippi and married Ola Trainor on October 18, 1941 in Myrtis, Louisiana. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2001. He came to Big Spring on October 1, 1973 from Eunice, New Mexico and worked for Skelly Oil Company that was later Getty Oil Company for 42 years, retiring from the Vealmoor plant in 1983.He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the Eunice Masonic Lodge. Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II. He was very active in youth sports and officiated for many years in football and baseball.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Sandy Young of Midland; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Mike McKinley of Katy; five grandchildren, Gary Young, Kenny Young, Amy Young and Bryan McKinley all of Midland and Brooks McKinley of Katy and five great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by one son, Billy Lamar Young.,
