Heather's grandad liked picking on the two of us girls. I liked playing cards with her grand parents. I'm thinking about your family and wish I could be there. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family on this difficult time. Love, Alayna

Dearest sweet Audine, We, too, will miss Bill very much. It has been an inspiration to us to see you in attendance at church, many times when you did not feel well enough to be there. We know that God will take care of him and you. Remember the best is yet to be!!!!

When I think about grandad, the word that comes to my mind is respect. While never demanding it, respect was something that his personality naturally caused others to feel for him. Respect for his kind nature, his thoughtfulness towards others; respect for his effortless way of making all those around him happy and content ; respect for his stroke with the 3-wood and his uncanny ability to hold the final spade until the most oportune moment; respect for his loyal dedication to his family and friends. To have known grandad is a blessing, as anyone who ever had the pleasure of crossing his path could attest to (Cassius Clay included!) I am truely fortunate to have had him as a grandfather, and I am honored to carry on his family name. Rest in peace grandad. I love you.
