William Holder, 84, of Midland, passed on Tuesday, December 7, 2004, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM Friday, December 10, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel Midland with Rev. Tommy Williams, pastor of Assembly in Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven North in Midland.He was born on July 19, 1920, in Sabana, Texas and married Tempie Holder on April 19, 1938. She preceded him in death on September 24, 2004.William worked as a jet engine mechanic in the Civil Service for the government in Big Spring for many years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the music ministry at Assembly of Christ where he played the guitar. He was a wonderful father and "Papa". William was a man of honesty and integrity. He leaves a legacy of love and memories that his family will cherish forever. God blessed him with many talents, and he shared his love of music with his children and grandchildren. William was the pillar of his family, always believing in them and guiding them through the good times and the troubling times. He was always there for anyone who needed him. We will miss his guidance, humor and most of all, his words of wisdom. Our family takes great comfort in knowing he is reunited with God and his loving wife. Together, they are enjoying beautiful heavenly music.Survivors include two daughters, Alice Kayser, and Sheila Scarbro both of Midland; three grandsons, Edward Kayser of Arlington, Eugene Kayser, Gregg Scarbro both of Midland; three granddaughters, Tonya Scarbro of Arlington; Jamee Cardenas and Patricia Mapp both of Midland. William was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Autry Holderand Spud Holder; one daughter, Madalyn Holder. Pallbearers will be Edward Kayser, Eugene Kayser, Gregg Scarbro, Jayson Huerta, Javier Cardenas, and J.D. Mapp. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard and Tommy Holder.The family suggests memorials be made to: Home Hospice, 901 W.
