William "Hugh" Brittain

William "Hugh" Brittain, 62, of Midland, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2007 in Midland. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at the Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland with Tim Baugh, officiating.Hugh was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 26, 1944 to James and Marie Brittain. He married Sharon Dilldine on May 14, 1962 in Norman, Oklahoma. He lived in Midland for over thirty years. He worked as a natural gas compressor operator in the oil industry. He loved racecars.Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Midland; daughter and son-in-law, Daphne and David Rice of Midland; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Brenda Brittain of Rockwall; granddaughter, Dawn Hurtubis of Midland; granddaughter, Jennifer Hurtubis of Midland; three grandsons, Shannon, Justin and Ryan Rice, all of Midland; granddaughter, Brittanie Mann of Rock Springs, Wyoming; granddaughter, Shelbie Brittain of Rockwall; granddaughter, Ashton Morton of Rockwall; granddaughter, Billie Ann Brittain of Rockwall; four great grandchildren, Bayley Hurtubis and Cameron Petronella of Midland and Brycyn and Caydyn Mann of Rock Springs, Wyoming; and another great grandchild due in September.
