William Henry Reinert, age 82, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 15th, 2018 in Midland, Texas.Born August 6, 1936 in Hamilton, Texas he was the son of late William Frederick Reinert and Eda Rosella Nichter. Bill is a graduate of Pottsville high school, class of 1954. In 1958, Bill volunteered for the draft and joined the United States Army. He was stationed at Ft. Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma where he served as a driver for an Army General. Shortly after leaving the Army he met his wife of 54 years. Bill and Carol were married on August 29, 1964, together they have two sons. Bill is also a graduate of Tarleton State University in Stephenville where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1968. Bill started his business career in the plastics industry working for Can-Tex Industries in Mineral Wells, TX. He worked as a sales manager for the Texas and NM territory. Can-Tex relocated his family to Midland, Texas in 1973. He later worked for JM Manufacturing before he and Carol started BenMark Supply Company in 1987. BenMark now has 5 locations across Texas and NM. The company name, BenMark, is derived from the names of his two sons, William Mark and John Ben. Bill's success as an entrepreneur is attributed to years of hard work, strong leadership skills, and his courage to move forward even when the risks were high. Also, he took a genuine interest in people, and treated everyone with the upmost respect. The family is extremely appreciative of BenMark team members, past and present. Baseball, hunting, fishing, water sports, dancing, traveling, and tending the family land in Comanche County, sold in 1991 to fund BenMark Supply, are all activities Bill enjoyed throughout his life. Bill became involved in the golf community in Midland in the 90's where he made many friends.Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Eda and William Reinert, and by his sister, Ella Mae Reinert. He is survived by his wife Carol Reinert of Midland, by his oldest son Will and his wife Rachael, of Midland, by his youngest son John and his wife Sara of Midland; and by his 4 grandchildren, Witten, Kate, Liam and Naomi. He is also survived by his brother Wayne Reinert, and his wife Betty of Weatherford, TX; and by 6 nieces and nephews.Services will be held 10:00am Monday, November 19, 2018 at The First Presbyterian Church in Midland with a small reception immediately following in the fellowship hall.Visitation is made available at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland on Sunday, November 18th from 3-9pm. The family will receive visitors at 1402 Harvard on Sunday from 5-8pm.Memorials can be made to Midland Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
