William ““Willie”” Eddy Eaves

William Eddy ‘Willie’ Eaves, 89, passed peacefully from this life to his home in Heaven on July 15, 2026. Known as; Husband, Daddy, Poppy, Sonny, Uncle, and Friend.  Perhaps his favorite name of all was Poppy.  Whenever his grandkids and Great grandkids would come into the room his face would light up, and you could tell that his day had gotten a lot better.  He was the most patient, kind, gentle, and loving man you could ever hope to meet.  His love and empathy knew no bounds.  His memories faded but his love and trust in God never wavered.

William Eddy was born July 26, 1936, to Richard Clay Eaves and Ollie Mae Monroe Eaves in Staff, TX.  Growing up Willie lived in Gorman, TX, and Eunice, NM. He joined the U S Air Force, allowing him to serve the country he loved.  After returning home, he went to Barber School. He moved to Andrews, TX and worked across the street from a drug store where he met the love of his life, Patsy Joyce McAfee.  The couple were married in Andrews in July 1959.  They had three daughters and the family of five settled in Midland, TX in January 1964.  He opened his first shop, Classic Hair Design in 1978 and later opened All About Hair, retiring in  2016 after 60 years of being a barber.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Myrt Martin, Coye Bird, and Ruby Cummings.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pat, and his 3 daughters, Pamela Joyce (Matt) Swierc of Midland, TX, Rebecca Ann Wohl of Torrington, CT, and Betty Darlene (Derek) Rotan of Midland, TX; 3 Siblings Verba Odene Savage of Springtown, TX, Richard Clayton Eaves of Gorman, TX, and A B ‘Buddy’ Eaves of Lake DeLeon, TX;  9 Grandchildren, Erica Nicole (Jacob) Cross of Midland, TX, Taylor James (Clara) Dunn of Wilmington, DE, Mattisyn Swierc (Ben) Henderson of Midland, TX, Cameron William (Hannah) Dunn of Midland, TX, Vivian Christine Goddard of Torrington, CT, Marcus Alan Wohl of Bethany, CT, Aaron Dean (Heather) Rotan of Midland, TX, Amber Darlene (Texas) King of Midland, TX, Ashlynn DeAnn (Cory) Street of Odessa, TX; 22 beloved great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Courtyard Caregivers, Angels Care Hospice of Midland, Cimarron Place, and Ashton Medical Lodge for all the love and care.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, July 24, 2026 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with reception following at the Branch. Private family burial in Andrews, TX Saturday, July 25, 2026.
