William E. Satterwhite, 63, of Odessa, died on Sunday, June 6, 2004, in an Odessa hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, June 11, 2004 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Malcolm Tyree, pastor of First Church of God, Odessa, officiating. He was born on October 15, 1940, in San Angelo, Texas and married Cleta Yancey Smith on August 28, 1987 in Big Spring, Texas. He was the son of Mildred and Manning Satterwhite of San Angelo. Mr. Satterwhite worked as an electrical supply manager for many years and was employed with Dealers Electrical Supply in Odessa. He loved his family and loved to fish and bowl.He served in the United States Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Midway from 1957 to 1959 and was a life member of the VFW.Survivors include his wife, Cleta Satterwhite of Odessa; one son, David Howard of San Angelo; two step sons, Robert Smith of Big Spring and Terry Smith of Brownfield; his mother, Mildred Hatfield of San Angelo; three sisters, Annette Garcia and Beth Gardenia both of El Paso and Kathlene Nelson of San Angelo; one brother, Joe Hatfield of San Angelo and four grandchildren, Nicole and Chesnei Smith of Lubbock and Stormi and Reba Smith of Big Spring.
