A sister of one of our members lives in Big Spring and sent her Bill's obituary knowing we had mentioned knowing Bill from Naz. Bible College and work together at Kaibito, Nazarene Mission 40 miles southeast of Page, AZ. in the early 1970's. Bill was very special to us, a true brother in the faith and was glad he, too, took a position on the Indian district and continued to be a part of our life while missionaries there. We had some contact with him when we learned he lived at Big Spring. He shared that he was having health problems. We look forward to seeing Bill in heaven in that wonderful time of reunion. My wife went to Bethany Nazarene College during some of the years Bill's sister, Jane, attended, and "Mom Bohannan" was her first dorm mom. Actually her room was just across the hall at the end of Bud Robinson Hall ..from Mom Bohannan's quarters. At that time we didn't know Bill, but it has been a joy to know some of this wonderful family. Clem and Louise Moore

I was a little girl when I first met Bill, my first impression was how tall he was and his great smile. He attended our church here on the Navajo Reservation, ( LeChee, AZ). It was always a joy to see him come in. He had a very big heart, was always willing to help others and share many stories. I remember he was always willing to play with all the little kids, no matter what the game was. We adopted him into our families as an uncle (for me) and truely loved him. I had always wondered about him, he was always in my heart and will always cherish the fond memories of him. I'm 36 years of age now, but his legend goes on with the stories I share with my kids. We have missed him here on the reservation but will live on in our hearts.

I first was introduced to Bill in 1982. I was working as a janitor for Page Schools during the school year. I worked with the maintenance department during the summer months. That is where I met Bill. Bill sure did treat me nice, compared to the other men in maintenance. I knew nothing. That is why the men were not so nice to me. I was just trying to help them out any way possible, all thumbs of course! I would hope everyday I would get to work with Bill. I went to Big Spring in 1997 or 1998 and saw Bill in the bowling alley. He didn't recognize me, but I did introduce myself and told him I sure missed him. After I had left a couple months, He told the person I knew in Big Spring that he remembered me. That was nice. Bill really did encourage me long ago when I worked with him. He was a hard worker who cared about his work. He made a difference in my life. Thank You Bill

He will be missed. He was such a good man. I have had the honor of caring for him at the hospital and knew him when he participated in the Senior computer classes at the college. He always made me smile and gave me a good laugh.
