Bill Ward, Jr., 90, of Midland passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with Bryan Briley, minister of Main Street Church of Christ, officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 6, 2005 from 6:30 to 7:30 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 3800 N. Big Spring St.Bill was born on November 17, 1914 in Philadelphia, PA to William Henry and Katherine Lane Ward. He married Angeline Brandt on June 14, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. They came to Midland in 1959 from Ohio. Mr. Ward worked as a men's clothing salesman for many years before he retired. He started to work for S & Q Clothiers and then worked for Grammar Murphy where he was employed for over twenty years and then he worked for Dunlaps for a number of years.He was a member of the Main St. Church of Christ and had been a member of the Kiwanis Club.Mr. Ward is survived by his wife of 64 years, Angeline Ward, two sons, Gary Ward of Rockwall, and David Ward and his wife, Rose of Spring, nine grandchildren, Stephanie Bow of Hillsboro, Rebecca Ward of Turnbull, Angelia Ward of Whitesboro, Ben Ward of Hillsboro, Chelsea Ward, Victoria Ward, Alexis Ward, Briana Ward all of Tulsa and Kelly Harper of Spring; one sister, Catherine, and one brother Joe.
