WillaDene Henderson, 87, of Midland, Texas passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at The Branch at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 28, 2016 at Parks-Faudree Family Chapel at Manor Park in Midland with Rev Bill Billett officiating.WillaDene was born July 25, 1929 in Enid, Ok to James Paul Purnell and Cecil Fern Smith Purnell. She married Charles Richard Henderson on June 10, 1949 in Enid, Ok. She was employed by Cal-Mon Oil Company in Midland for 20 years. WillaDene’s community activities included the Midland Study Club, Midland Woman’s Club, and Midland County Republic Women. She was also involved in numerous bridge clubs, she loved gardening and had a special interest in bird watching. She took many bird watching trips to places such as Alaska, Maine, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and all along the Texas coast.Those left to cherish her memory are her son Michael Henderson and wife Patty of Jackson, WY; daughters Debra Hindman and husband Rick of Temple, Holly Moore and husband Robert of Big Spring, and Kimberley Glass and husband Tom of Driftwood, TX; grandchildren Devin Malaise of Wichita KS, Robin Velo of Evanston IL, Sgt. Joe Henderson of Oceanside, CA, Ryan Hindman of Round Rock, TX, Tyler Dube of Austin, and Tommy Glass of Driftwood; eight great grandchildren. WillaDene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Henderson; two sisters NormaLee Branscome and Dorothy Purnell; brother James Purnell.Memorial donations can be made to either Compass Hospice, 3001 W.
