Will Inkman, 79, of Big Spring, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2003. He was born on August 2, 1923, to pioneer Big Spring parents, Camille and Will W. Inkman. He attended local schools, the University of North Texas, the University of Pennsyvania and the University of Southern California. Will served during World War II in the United States Navy. He received 12 Silver Stars and one Gold Star for service in the South Pacific. In 1983 he retired from the State Department of Education, where he served as Vocational Education Supervisor. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Louise Koger. Survivors include a sister, Camille Boykin of Dallas; nieces, Karon Passow of El Paso, Jennifer Passow of Dallas and Susan Passow of Los Angeles, California; and extended family, Auther and Betty Gibbs of Big Spring . Special survivors include, Ruth and John Currie and Cassandra and Glen Fillingim all of Big Spring. No services are planned at this time and no memorials are requested.
