I am just learning of Uncle Wilbur's passing today (4-23-24). I am saddened by the loss after losing Aunt Helen a couple of years ago and my dad (Alan) almost 20 years ago. My heart goes out to Janet and Bill and the rest of the family even though it has been many years since we played together at Grandmamma's farm. God bless all of you

To all my cousins, I'm very sorry to learn of the loss of Uncle Wilbur. No one told Roy or me, I just found his obituary online quite by accident. I have fond memories of all of us congregating at Grandmama's country home in Lakeland, FL, playing in the orange grove and the hay barn and walking through the pasture down to the creek. I'm sorry we have all grown so far apart in so many ways. Uncle Wilbur was an icon with a rich, full life, my only Harkness uncle, and again, I'm just so sorry to learn of his passing. I hope all of you have been comforted by those around you and by our Great Comforter. God bless you all.

To leave a legacy of dedication, service and commitment to His Lord, His country and His Family is the life changing gift both Wilbur and Carolyn left us all. Our lives were impacted for Good by the example this Christian couple modeled every day with their love for each other and their belief you lead by example not just words. Wilbur will be missed by many of us but he goes to the place he wanted us all to go one day, Heaven! A life extraordinarily well lived. God Bless his Family, our prayers are with you at this time.
