Wayne Drewery, 63, of Coahoma, died on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at his residence after ahard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Binnix and Rev. Walter McCall officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 2 PM to 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.He was born on November 19, 1945, in Loraine, Texas and married Glynn Webster on January 8, 1965 in Lovington, New Mexico.Wayne worked as a production supervisor for Sid Richardson for 34 years, retiring on October 7, 2007 due to illness. He loved working with his hands and enjoyed working with metal and wood. He was a loving husband, father and "Poppy".He was a member of Midway Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 30 years. He also taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir and served as interim music director.Survivors include his wife, Glynn Drewery of Coahoma; a son & daughter-in-law, Preston and Seanna Drewery of Keller; a daughter & son-in-law and their children, Shona and Darrell Aberegg, Brice, Sydney and Hayden all of Leander; his mother, Lilla Drewery of Big Spring; one brother, Dale Drewery of Tyler; five sisters, Audine Harris and husband, John of Aubrey, Dot Ditto and husband, Loy of Big Spring, Nadelle Williams and husband, Lomer of Anniston, Alabama, Darlene Bennett and husband, George of Scottsburg, Indiana and Shirlene Gunter of Farmington, New Mexico; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Drewery; and one brother, Kinard Drewery.The family suggests memorials to Midway Baptist Church, 6200 S.
