Wayne Barber, 71, of Greenwood, passed away, December 23, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, Texas.
He was born May 22, 1950 in Lamesa, Texas and married Brenda Graves January 25, 1969, in Big Spring.
Wayne worked at Safeway for several years before going to work for the United States Postal Service where he worked many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved spending time with his family and telling BIG stories.
He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Barber; one son, Donald Barber and wife, Laura; one daughter, Jill Moss; one brother, Bobby Barber and wife, Cheryl; one sister, Sylvia Rodriguez; and six grandchildren, Hannah Moss, Jeromy Moss, Chelsea Barber, Ashlin Barber, Clayton Barber and Carson Barber.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Bennie Holland Barber; and one sister, Louise Huitt.
