Wandalene Davis, 78, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in an Odessa hospice facility. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 12, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rick Cunningham, minister of 14th and Main Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.She was born on February 11, 1930, in Burkett, Texas and married O. A. Davis on June 11, 1948 in Coleman, Texas.She came to Big Spring in 1950 from Brownwood. She was a very loving and spiritual wife and mother and enjoyed caring for others. She was a member of 14th and Main Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, O. A. Davis of Big Spring; one son, Glen Davis of Big Spring; two daughters & sons-in-law, Joann and Roy Perkins of Lubbock and Janet and Don Hilbers of Idalou; one brother, Wyman Witty of Tennesee; one sister, Wilda Hammer of Michigan; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters. The family suggests memorials to: Home Hospice House of Odessa, 903 N. A big loss of such a caring and giving person, always there to help out people who need help. O.A. and Glen will be at a loss for a while, but it is a blessing since she found out her illness that it wasn't long and drawn out.. I am sure she is at peace now.
