Wanda Aycock, 78, of Stanton, Texas, died on Sunday, October 15, 2006, in a Midland hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton with Mike Cude, nephew officiating. She was born on November 24, 1927, in Cochise County, Arizona and married Johnny V. Aycock on August 3, 1955 in Lovington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in April of 2003. Wanda came to Stanton in 2001. She was a good cook and waitress. She enjoyed visiting with people and loved her family. Wanda took up painting. She loved to paint and the family cherished her paintings. She was a member of Christadelphian Ecclesia. Survivors include two sisters, Clarene Hillger of Stanton and Jonelle Hughes of Sand Springs; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer Wright of Odessa and Miranda Frost of Austin; 1 grandson, Thomas Frost of Odessa; 2 great granddaughters, Tara and Jasmine Wright both of Odessa and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Aycock; one grandson, Johnathan Aycock; 4 sisters, Beth Wallace, Ann Cude, Edna Williams, and Bobbie Jean Glendening; 3 brothers, William, Melton and Noel Glendeing.
