Wanda McMurray

Wanda McMurray, 83, of Victoria, formerly of Big Spring, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with Brad Daniels, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Wanda was born July 26, 1939 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Lillie and Jack Shelley. She settled in Big Spring in 1959 and worked for Gray Jewelers. In later years, she worked in the cafeteria for Forsan Independent School District and retired after 19 years of service. She had been a member of Berea Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Nikita and husband Eddy West of Victoria; Deidre and husband Keith Knox of San Antonio and Shelley Graham of Midland and one son Wade and wife Cheryl McMurray of Waxahachie; one sister: Jackie Reynolds of Seymour; 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother: John Shelley and a sister: Bettye Morrison.

Pallbearers will be Kody Whaley, Joshua McMurray, Klate Graham, Reagan McMurray, Kooper Wilkerson and Abe Wilkerson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Hyden, Ray Slaton, Braxton McMurray, Jaxon McMurray, Caden Whaley, Keith Matusevich, Karson Wilkerson, Benjamin McMurray and Elijah McMurray.
