Wanda Lee Roman, 88, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the First Baptist Church with Timmi Blackshear, Shane Blackshear and Rev. Mark Lindsey officiating. Private family burial will follow.
She was born July 21, 1932 in Knott, Texas to T. M. and Ima Robinson. Wanda married Odell Roman August 12, 1951 in Knott. He preceded her in death December 15, 1988.
Wanda graduated from Knott High School and attended Hardin-Simmons University. She worked at Webb Air Force Base for a number of years, and retired from the VA Medical Center after 30 years of service. Wanda loved traveling, bowling, her Friday night dinner group and decorating her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Terri Blackshear and husband, Tim, of Granbury; two grandchildren, Shane Blackshear and wife, Kate, of Austin, and Timmi Blackshear of Fort Worth; two great-grandchildren, Margot Blackshear and Amos Blackshear; three sisters, Carol Strong and husband, Curt, of Granbury, Joyce Parker of Knott, and Martha Sparks of Magnolia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lloyd Robinson.

She will be missed in Sunday School, church, and in our Friday night group of ladies in our class plus our token Methodist as we met for dinner! Wanda was a good servant of the Lord and is now in her heavenly home! I loved her! Sorry weather kept me from driving to her service!

We are so sorry for your loss. Wanda was a dear friend and we had so much fun bowling. Will miss calling and talking about our bowling adventures. RIP dear friend.

My heart is broken along with yours that her. Quick wit and sometimes sharp tone will be missing here on earth. However I can just imagine the joy and celebration in heaven as she meets Odell, family, and friends ( especially Charlotte, Darrell! Jack&Lavada). Wanda was one of the sweetest women I knew. My Mother also worked at the VA and that's how I knew Wanda. She always took time to speak to me and I just loved her.
