Wanda Woods Arencibia, 69, of Big Spring , died on Friday, February 20, 2004, in a Midland hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Mud Creek Cemetery, in Brown County, Texas, with Dr. Claude Craven, retired Baptist minister, officiating. She was born on March 27, 1934, in Brownwood , Texas to William Alton Woods and Letha Elizabeth White. Wanda grew up in Thrifty community and attended school in Bangs, Texas. She moved with her family to Big Spring in 1948, where she attended Big Spring High School and graduated in 1952. She married Aramis E. "Tito" Arencibia on May 16, 1953 in New Mexico. Wanda attended Medical Arts School of Nursing and worked in nursing for over twenty years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She received her certification as an Accredited Medical Record Technician in 1980, and worked 13 years at Hall-Bennett Hospital as the Director of Medical Records, several years at Scenic Mountain Medical Center and 14 years at Martin County Hospital.She was a member of the First Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Aramis "Tito" Arencibia of Big Spring; one son, Bill Arencibia of Shallowater; two daughters, Elizabeth Arencibia of Midland, Viena Pope of Coahoma; two granddaughters, Jessica Pope, of Coahoma and Shayla Arencibia of Shallowater; two grandsons, Eric Arencibia and Brandon Arencibia both of Shallowater; one sister, Nancy Woods Parnell of Arlington; and three nieces, Laura Clay of Miami, Florida, Wanda Brewer and Lisa Roberts both of Midland. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Greta Woods Renshaw.Pallbearers will be William Arencibia, Eric Arencibia, Brandon Arencibia, Byron Pope, A.J.
