Wanda Faye Hines at the age of 85 passed away November 25, 2022. Wanda was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 31, 1937 to parents Lillian Grace and Halley Clay Allen. She was a long time resident of Midland and a member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ. Wanda was a graduate of Midland High School Class of 1955. She was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and a licensed Realtor. Wanda was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and rooted for the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees. Her hobbies and favorite activities were playing cards & dominos with friends and family, knitting, and working crossword puzzles. During the holidays Wanda enjoyed decorating and always having a New Year’s Eve gathering of family and friends.
Wanda is survived by two sons Chris and Clif and their wives Kendra and Angela, and her daughter Charlotte. She has six remaining grandchildren, Brandon, Casey, Brooke, Shelby, Brayleigh and CJ, along with eight great grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years Charles Edward Hines who she met in high school.
The family has great appreciation for the Hospice Agency and its staff and would request that instead of flowers that a donation be sent to the Midland Hospice Agency.
The viewing will be from 8:00 am to 10:00 am Thursday December 1, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. The graveside ceremony will be held Thursday December 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at Resthaven Cemetery.
