W. H. Munn, Jr.W. H. Munn, Jr., 94 of Odessa, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008. A graveside service was held at 3P.M., Friday, December 19, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, Texas. The Rev. Daniel Armstrong of the Stanton First United Methodist Church officiated.W. H. was born May 19, 1914 to William Henry and Estelle Munn in Eastland County. After completing high school at the Courtney school in Martin County, He married Troy Lou Blocker on December 16, 1933 in Big Spring, Texas. Before her passing in 2005, they lived in Midland, Odessa and Andrews. They always considered Andrews, their home for 40 years, as Home, although they returned to Odessa in 1995, where they spent their remaining years. At his death W.H. was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, a church he helped construct in the early 1950's. He was a long time member of the I.O.O.F, both in Odessa, and Andrews. He was a dedicated husband and father, frequently working two jobs to support his family. The last 40 years of his career were spent operating a service station, and wholesale gasoline, butane and oil business. Survivors are three daughters, Helen Cook of Odessa, Mary Steed of Midland, and Ruth Ann Page and husband Dennis of Midland, three sons, Pat Munn and wife Jan of Odessa, Mike Munn and wife Sue of Midland, and Jimmy Munn and wife Suzan of Big Spring; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
