Virginia Chappell, 87, of Big Spring, died on Friday, November 18, 2005, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Darrell Hendrickson, pastor of First Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.She was born on August 15, 1918, in Brason, Colorado and married Paul R. Chappell on August 25, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Virginia was a member of the First Church of God, the Women of the Church of God and had taught first grade at Marcy Elementary.Survivors include her husband, Paul Chappell of Big Spring; one daughter, Jennie M. Valtinson; two sons, Melvin H. Chappell and Samuel J. Chappell; nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
