Virginia Louise Dorman Forest passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018 in Brownwood Texas at the age of 93. She is survived by six of her eight children: Ronald Earl Forest of Midland, Virginia Carol Potter of Brownwood, Mavis Ann Bradsher of Arlington, Donald Gerald Forest of Odessa, Debra Lynn Lewis of Brownwood; Russel Dean Forest of Hobbs; seventeen grandchildren and a huge number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was blessed with a family of five generations. She was born May 10, 1925 in Minden Louisiana to Olive and JB Dorman. She was the oldest daughter of eleven children. Her four living siblings are left behind. She was raised in Arkansas but got to Texas as quick as she could! She married William Carl Forest on January 4, 1941. Together they were partners in work and life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl “Bill” Forest on September 29, 1988. Her youngest daughter, Pamela Jean passed away in 1979, and her oldest son Carl died July 28, 2014. She was a strong woman who survived many successes and heartbreaks. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a fiery and determined woman who loved her family and holiday dinners. Every life is important. God had a plan and purpose for us all. She is finally home. Always loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2:00PM at Fairview Cemetery in Midland, TX. There will be a gathering and meal at This Generation UPC Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
