Virginia Howard Williams, 74, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, September 22, 2001, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on February 12, 1927 in Crowell, Texas. She married Truman H. Howard and he preceded her in death. She later married Murl Williams on June 18,1997 in Casper, Wyoming. Virginia moved to the community in 1948 and was retired from the Big Spring State Hospital. She was a Baptist. She loved to work in the yard. She was a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife. Survivors include her husband, Murl Williams of Big Spring; two sons, Jack Howard of New Mexico and Shain Howard of Big Spring; two daughters, Edna Carter of Joliet, Illinois and Kay Natcher of Kent, Ohio; two sisters, Edna Mae Stores of Canadian and Georgia Juanita Scrivener of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a son, Willie Washington Howard and her parents. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
