She was also blessed with her grandchildren, Mike Frantz, Dwayne Frantz, Cynthia and husband Christopher Brooks, John Frantz, Daniel Collins, Justin Thomas and Amanda Collins. She was also able to watch her 4 great grandchildren grow; Brittany Frantz, Ashlynn Brooks, Brayden Brooks, and Caelynn Brooks.Ginny Collins, 87, was born Virginia Leigh Stewart on January 6, 1927 in the Courtney Community near Stanton, Texas and grew up near Stanton. She married William Ray Collins Sr. on March 8, 1947 in Big Spring, Texas.NanNaw is the foundation of many memories for her family. From the fancy soaps in her bathroom to the matching wallpaper and curtains in her bedrooms, NanNaw’s house felt like you were staying in a palace. Who else had doorknobs that looked like it was full of gold or always had Fresca stocked in the fridge? She had tassels on every knob and the grandkids learned not to spend too long in the bathroom playing with the perfume bottles or NanNaw would come knocking! Each room had a special smell and her backyard was like a wonderland with grass colored carpet on her porch and every doodad you could imagine! Our NanNaw memories were not just isolated to Midland because those memories stretched all the way from Colorado to small Texas towns. For over 20 years, Ginny’s summers were spent in a cabin named Pine Ridge in Colorado that her husband built especially for them to enjoy. Children and grandchildren came to visit and experienced many special moments with her and Granddad in Colorado. She even broke the rules and fed the bears with no fear!NanNaw will forever be missed, but more so be celebrated as a woman who showed unbelievable strength and stubbornness. She was never afraid to speak her mind or voice her opinion. She would threaten a shoe or give you a hug as quick as you could blink. She appreciated the history of our family with her extensive genealogy studies and we appreciate the legacy she has left behind for us as her family. The family will be accepting guests from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 10 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 11 at Resthaven Memorial Park at 9:00 am.,
