Violet Vera McCaffity

Violet Ellsworth McCaffity, 55, of Big Spring, died Sunday, December 20, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Cornerstone Covenant Church in Big Spring. A second memorial service will be at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Monahans Christian Assembly, 303 S. Helen, Monahans, Texas. She was born September 9, 1960 in Roswell, New Mexico and married David McCaffity July 7, 1990 in Monahans, Texas. Violet's family moved to Monahans in 1962 and she graduated from Monahans High School. She was the type of person who never met a stranger or anyone she wasn't willing to help. Survivors include her husband, David McCaffity of Big Spring; her mother and step-father, Joann Ellsworth Mills and Ken Mills of Monahans; one sister, Yolanda Wheeler of Odessa; and one brother, Max Dale Ellsworth of Snyder. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Ellsworth; and two sons, Wayne Green and Ray Dale Green. The family suggests memorials to the Big Spring Humane Society, P. O.
