Victor Emanuel Morris passed from his earthly life December 17, 2024.
Victor was born February 10,1938 in St. Croix, Virgin Islands to Ernest and Hilda Maynard Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Eugenia Morris, brothers, George Morris, Royce Colbourne and James Allick.
Victor served in the US Army, Fort Carson Colorado and played minor league baseball with the New York Yankees before joining the Merchant Marines. Victor lived in Puerto Rico before moving to Texas where he worked on tugboats and in the shrimping industry. Victor enjoyed sharing his experiences with his family, whether from his time at sea or living in the Virgin Islands, New York City or Puerto Rico. There was always something to learn. Victor believed there was always something to learn.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen and their children, Marinda Diehl, George Morris (Jennifer), Joshua Morris, Derrick Morris, Megan Williams (Matthew), his grandchildren Joel Diehl, Madysyn Henderson, Bryanna Da Silva, Kayla Morris, Natalie Morris and Megan Williams, sister Karen Colbourne, brothers Everett Colbourne and Orville Colbourne, and Gary and Elaine, his brother-and sister-in-law.
Victor ran his race with dignity, compassion, and grace. He helped others without thought of recompense. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his patience and words of wisdom. Victor enjoyed sharing his experiences with his family, whether from his time at sea or living in the Virgin Islands, New York City or Puerto Rico. Victor believed there was always something to learn.
