Vicki Lynn Parks, 59, passed away at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado August 23, 2013 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She is survived by her husband Robert Parks of Colorado Springs, CO; her daughter Skydria ‘Sky’ Hall and husband, Tom of Colorado Springs, CO and their children Dylan Williamson of Allen, TX, Cheyenne Williamson and Callen Hall both of Colorado Springs, CO; her son Jeremy Parks and wife, Jessica of Colorado Springs, CO and their children Jeremy Jr., Kylie and Megan all of Colorado Springs, CO; her son Daniel ‘Dino’ Parks and wife, Joy of Glenwood Springs, CO and their children Ryan and Emily of Anchorage, AK and Joshua and Nathan of Glenwood Springs, CO; her mother Mattie ‘Lee’ Turner of Big Spring, TX; her father-in-law Walter ‘Walt’ Parks of Albuquerque, NM; her sister Andrea ‘Andy’ Moore and husband, Dave of Early, TX; her sister Julie Bartlett and husband, Jeff of Coahoma, TX; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and one great grandchild due this year.All who knew her loved Vicki and she was known for her love of life, her laughter and the kindness that she shared with everyone she came in contact with. Vicki grew up in Big Spring, TX where, in 1972, she met her husband and fell in love; they were married for over 40 years and their love will continue until they meet again. Vicki was a Missionary with her husband and their family. They traveled throughout Texas and Mexico and spread God’s word during the 80’s. She spent the better part of her adult life working as an Office Manager for State Farm Insurance in Big Spring, Albuquerque and Colorado Springs where she met many customers that now call her friend.Services for Vicki will be held Saturday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel – 906 S. Gregg St. Big Spring, TX 79720 followed by a grave side ceremony lead out by procession from the funeral home to Trinity Memorial Park.The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to the Vicki Lynn Parks Living Trust, PO Box 76776 Colorado Springs, CO 80970 or to Penrose-St. Francis Health Foundation, in honor of Vicki Parks for cancer research, 2222 North Nevada Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80907.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
