I know that there are no words that will help you in this difficult time. To Mrs. Wolf and her family you will be in our thoughts and prayers. I had only met Vernon a couple of times, but by the way Rhesa and Victor talked about him I knew he must be special and he was. God Bless you and your family and may the Lord give you strength to go on.
Jimmy Anderson left a message on September 24, 2009:
Dolores, please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss. Vernon was such a special man in my books. I will cherish the memory of getting to hunt on your ranch; and shooting an Axis. I always looked forward to seeing you both in the pharmacy. Please, know that I was unaware of Vernon's failing health. I know how much you will miss him. We will be out of town and unable to attend the funeral. I have an appointment in Austin. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers as you say your final goodbye. Love, Jimmy Anderson
