Vernon Lawrence "Larry" Cuthbertson, Jr., 63, of Amarillo, formerly of Big Spring, died on Monday, January 19, 2009, in an Amarillo hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring with Al Smith, minister of Northridge Church of Christ in Amarillo, officiating.He was born on November 7, 1945, in Big Spring, Texas.Larry had worked at the VA Medical Center in Big Spring for several years. He moved to Amarillo in 1992. He was a member of Northridge Church of Christ in Amarillo.Survivors include his mother, Mary Cuthbertson of Houma, Louisiana; one sister and brother-in-law, Glynna and Gary Witt of Houma, Louisiana; one aunt, June Zant of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Cuthbertson and one brother, Jerry Cuthbertson.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
