Verilla Dean “Deanie” Chadwick

Verilla Dean Chadwick “Deanie”, 87 of Midland, Texas passed away in her home on August 9, 2023. Viewing will be Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, August 14, 2023 in the Chapel at First Baptist Church, 2104 W. Louisiana Ave., Midland, Texas.

Deanie was born on September 9, 1935 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Emmit and Ina Roberts. Her childhood was spent in Rising Star, Texas and she was proud to be elected cheerleader for Rising Star High School. After graduation, Deanie attended business school in Lubbock, then moved to Midland. Deanie and Daryl Chadwick were married in 1957. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for El Paso Natural Gas while being a wife and mother to four children; sons, Bruce, Brent, Buck and daughter, Tracy. Deanie taught the Senior Ladies Sunday School class at First Baptist Midland as well as sang in the choir and participated in the special music productions.

Deanie is survived by her husband, Daryl Chadwick; children, Bruce and Cindy Bighorse Chadwick, Brent and Jeri Chadwick, Buck Chadwick and Tracy Chadwick; grandchildren, Tiffany Gates, Bronson Chadwick and Joseph Tucker; two great-grandchildren, Paul and Ralee; sisters, Alice Dombroah and Markie Cotton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Deanie is preceded in death by her parents, Emmit and Ina Roberts and her brother, Bobby Roberts.
