Veneranda R. Cazares, 92, formally of Del Rio, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, in San Angelo, TX. She will lie in state on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring, TX. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2026 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home- Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born April 18, 1934, in Mexico, to parents Juvenal and Nicolasa (Chavez) Renteria. She loved to be with her family cherishing memories, gardening, and any free time going shopping. Veneranda was a devoted Christian and a long-time member of Berea Church in Del Rio, pastored by Juan Gallegos.

Veneranda is survived by her children, Jose Cazares, Luz Menchaca, Magdalena Magana, Fermin Cazares, Rosa Martha Cazares, Monica Lopez, Silvia Herrera, and Mario Cazares; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mario Cazares Delgado; her parents; sisters; Soccoro Renteria, Luz Renteria, Magdalena Renteria, and Maria Renteria.
