God has blessed us with Van Smith, born on March 9, 1976. He was a very loving and caring son. At age 12, Van accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and was on a mission for God, spreading the message by helping others any way he could. His family and friends thank God for having Van around for 33 years and for being such a proud and faithful servant. He will be missed dearly, but we rejoice because he has gone Home.He is survived by his mother Laverne Smith of Midland; his father Anthony Van Smith of Hement, California; two brothers Greg Smith of Ft. Worth and Yance Smith of Georgia; one sister Shelia Smith of Los Angeles, California; aunts and uncles Darcus Everett, Lois Reed, Columbus Reed, Tony Reed, Mildred Wilson, Thelma Reed, Shirley Reed, Caroline Wilson, Arlene Choyce, and Charles Reed; and hosts of nieces and nephews, including Greg Smith, Jr, Alexandria Smith, Brittany Smith, Nathan Smith, and Ashley Smith.Thanks to all those who attended the Memorial and Life of Van.,
