Torin Edward Morris, 32, of Midland, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2026. He was born on January 13, 1994, in Tyler, Texas, to his loving parents, James and Renee Fischer.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved family member. Torin was a man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Known for his big heart, infectious humor, and gentle spirit, he was often described as a “big teddy bear.” To know him was truly to love him. His kindness and warmth drew people in, and his laughter could light up any room.
He had a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys and remained a loyal fan through every win and disappointment. Whether surrounded by family or friends, Torin brought joy, comfort, and a sense of belonging to those around him. But above all, Torin cherished his family and his friends. He was deeply loved, and his presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Torin was a loving and devoted father whose world revolved around his children. Some of his most treasured moments were the simple ones, like driving his son, Rustin, around on the golf cart each day. Their bond was unbreakable, and they were truly the best of friends. Torin’s legacy will continue through his children, Rustin and Tori Wren, who will carry forward the warmth of his embrace, the joy of his presence, and the depth of his unconditional love. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his compassion, humor, and unwavering love. Though this time here on earth was far too short, the impact he made will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Morris; his cherished son, Rustin Edward and he eagerly anticipated the arrival of his future baby boy.
He is also survived by his loving mother, Renee Fischer and stepfather, James Fischer; his brothers, Tyler Hardy, wife Kim and daughters, Layne and Lindy; Trey Hardy, and wife, Leslie; his sisters, Alena “creature” Fischer; Cameron Willis and husband, Tanner; his grandparents Jim and Beverly Whatley.
Additionally, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Mary Etheridge, and father-in-law, James Etheridge; his sisters-in-law, Audriana ‘Audripanda’ Welch and her husband, Shayne, along with their sons, Hudson and Haiden; and, Brittany Reyes, husband, Blake, and children, Landon and Madalynn; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members and dear friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Hardy, Trey Hardy, Hunter Robinson, Blake Reyes, Landon Reyes, Austin Ott, Mitchell Tackett, Demetrius Schuler and Clinton Tomason.
The family extends their deepest gratitude for the overwhelming love, prayers, and support they have received during this time of profound loss.
