Tommy Lee Tuck, 54, died in Midland, Texas, on October 7 2009, following a valiant battle for three years against cancer.Born in Lubbock, Teas on January 18, 1955, Tuck lived in Lubbock, Dumas, Hereford, Fritch, and Morton before arriving in Midland when he was 13. He attended Alamo Junior High, Austin Freshman, where he played on the 9th grade city championship basketball team, and Midland Lee High School.Following three years in the lU. S. Army's First Armored Division, he attended Midland College where he served one term as Student Senate President. He learned the oil business as a roughneck, then became a mud logger, establishing his own company, Double T Consulants, which he operated luntil 2008.Tuck loved the outdoors, , particular lakes, where he excelled as a water skier and delighted in his ability to teach that sport to others, especially youngsters. He also enjoyed golf, snow skiing, and riding motorcycles. For several years, he coached Little League baseball teams.Survivors include his two daughters, Tasha and Tonya; one son, Todd, and his father, H. A. Tuck, all of Midland. He is also survived by one brother, Terry and wife Linda of Flower Mound, Texas; his former wife, Dana Tuck, of Midland; four grandchildren, and an uncle and aunt, George and Mary Lynn Tuck of Lincoln, Neb.
