Walter Tommy Ledbetter, born June 26, 1926, went peacefully to heaven on December 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Stanton with Rev. David Harp, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday evening at the Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.Tommy was born in Scranton, Texas and served in the United States Navy onboard the USS Rosewood in World War II. He and his family lived in Midland until they retired and moved to Buchanan Dam in 1987. He was an avid photographer with several award winning photos published over the years. His family and home were everything to him. He is survived by his son, Rodney Ledbetter and wife, Vicki; two granddaughters; three great grandsons; a brother, Lloyd Ledbetter; a sister, Retta Rosaland; and many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Anna; one son, Bradford Ledbetter; his parents, Thomas and Eula Mae Ledbetter; his brothers, Alton, James, and Clifton; and his sister, Jerry.Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton.
