Timothy Noel Kalani Manning was born on December 17, 1975 in Oxnard, California to Tom and Donna Manning. Tim moved to Midland with his family in 1981. Tim attended Midland High school where he played golf and graduated in 1994. Tim was actively involved in his church youth group at Golf Course Road Church of Christ. He loved serving at Opportunity camp and this is where he met the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Chaney. He was a huge Red Raider fan and attended Texas Tech University where he graduated with his BBA in August 1998. After dating for six years, they were married June 20, 1998. They recently celebrated 25 years of marriage. Tim continued to be involved in Unlock ministries as he served several years on their board. He and Chaney were actively involved in their church and volunteered many hours in the children ministry and leading life group. His family meant the world to him and anyone that knew him knew how proud he was of his children, Luke, Ryan, and Emily. His favorite thing was to be with his family, whether that was watching them play their sports or Indian Princess campouts. He spent many years coaching the boys in baseball. He served as a chief for the Blackfoot tribe and had his most special times with Emily at all of the campouts. Tim loved the outdoors, hunting, spending time in Colorado, and Texas Tech football. (Really any Texas Tech sport). He had a larger than life personality, had a huge heart of compassion for others, and loved big. He had the gift of communication and was an encourager to those he met. He was a people person and it was obvious by the relationships he built and cherished. He spent many years working in pharmaceutical sales, oilfield sales, and partnered in multiple businesses.
Tim is survived by his wife, Chaney Manning, children, Luke, Ryan, and Emily; his brothers, Todd Manning and wife Mindi and daughter Ella of Austin, TX, Treg Manning and wife Guadalupe and their daughters, Gabriela and Reagan of Midland. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Donna Manning.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards all of the friends and family that have lifted them up and provided every need this week. We are deeply humbled by your prayers, outpouring of love, and generosity.
