Timothy Hambleton, 54, of Midland, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025.
Tim was born October 3, 1970, in Marietta, Ohio. He was the youngest son of Thomas and Joyce Hambleton. Tim was a shy and sensitive child who found joy in the company of his family and pets. As he grew older, his imagination sparked a deep love for adventure, and he could often be found outside exploring the world around him. Climbing trees and fences or going through storm drains in search of snakes and turtles, Tim’s adventurous spirit only grew stronger as he entered adolescence.
Growing up in Lone Pine, Pennsylvania, Tim developed a love for fast vehicles, especially the thrill of riding three-wheelers across the family farm. When he was finally able to drive, he embraced his passion for adventure even more by purchasing a motorcycle. However, at the age of 19, Tim’s life took a turn when he was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in a severe head injury, forever altering the course of his life.
For the rest of his life, Tim faced significant struggles with his mental health. His journey was undoubtedly more challenging than most, but these difficulties also brought profound gifts to those who loved him. Tim had an undeniable talent for teaching people patience. To love Tim was to be patient. Loving him required understanding and tolerance, as there were times when his behavior could be difficult. Yet, when his sweet side emerged, it reminded everyone why he was cherished so deeply. He had a unique ability to open people’s hearts and teach them to accept others as they are.
Tim had a natural gift for laughter and loved making people smile, often through playful pranks and jokes, even if it occasionally annoyed them – that was just his way of showing affection. Beneath his tough exterior was a kind soul. Tim loved to play his guitar and spend time with his family. He found joy in simple pleasures, like caring for his cactus or spending time with his dogs at home.
Timothy is survived by his two children, Ashley and James, his brothers Merle (Diana) and Thomas (Evelyn), his sister Regina, his nephews Billy and George, his nieces Breanne and Balicia, and great nieces Mia and Zyla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Joyce Hambleton.
Timothy will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his kind soul, and the lessons he taught those who loved him. Tim’s mother, Joyce, had a final wish before she passed recently. She wished that Tim would be taken care of. In this time of sadness, we can find joy in knowing that Tim is reunited with his mother, and she can once again take care of him.
