Thressa Fay Allison

Thressa Fay Allison, 87, of Midland, TX, peacefully passed from this earth on March 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Thressa Allison was born on November 1, 1936 in Midland Texas, to parents Ozro and Irene Danley.

Thressa grew up in Midland and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized in an irrigation ditch in Fort Stockton, Texas. She eventually married the love of her life, Ronald Allison, at the age of sixteen on September 15, 1953. Together they had three children.

Thressa was known to many as Granny and Momma’s Granny. Her greatest gifts in life were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren. She was a loving sister and a loyal friend to so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother (Buddy Danley), great-grandson, Corey Matthews, great-granddaughter, Brinlee Allison, and many close friends.

Thressa is survived by her children Bobby Allison (Marilyn), Rodney Allison (Leigh), and Donna Phillips (Jeff). She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great -great grandchildren who absolutely adored their Granny and Momma’s Granny. She also leaves behind siblings Dorothy Sommers and Dump Danley, as well as a multitude of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Hilda Gomez, Home Hospice, specifically Melanie, her caretakers, Crystal Barela, Angela Barela, and Amy Hernandez.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
