Thelma M. Traweek passed away recently at the age of 95. A resident of Midland, Texas for 70 years she was an avid craftswoman who loved to knit, needlepoint and crochet. She successfully raised a large loving family and was a master at stretching food.
She was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings, her loving husband of 59 years C. B. Traweek Jr., and one son, Timothy Russell Traweek.
Thelma is survived by her children: son Charlie and wife Margie [deceased], son Marc and wife Zanna, daughter Cecilia and husband Gary [deceased], son Tony and wife Shawna, daughter-in-law Diania, son Albert, daughter Mona and husband Thomas, 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to any of the following organizations: Helping Hands, Hospice of Midland, or The Alzheimer’s Association, or the charity of your choice.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. The right of Christian burial will be held Wednesday July 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Drive in Midland.
