Thelma Lois Gibbs

Thelma Gibbs, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on December 11, 2025, in Midland, Texas at the age of 85 under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice in Focused Care Nursing Home.

Thelma was born on November 7, 1940, to AC Charles Bebee and Ruby Lanoy Bebee in Caddo, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Ernest Wayne Gibbs, in 1959 in Howard County Texas and together they had two children, Ernest Wayne Gibbs Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Gibbs Sharp.

Thelma had a passion for crocheting and quilting. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, creating beautiful works of art with her crafts.

Thelma is survived by her husband Ernest Wayne Gibbs, children Ernest Wayne Gibbs Jr. with his wife Dawn Farley Gibbs, Elizabeth Ann Sharp, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father AC Bebee, her mother Ruby (Lanoy Bebee) Holt, two infant sisters whose names remain unknown, Velva Marie Williams, Virgil Bebee, Freddy Bebee, Marion Bebee, Allen Robinson, and her son-in-law Richard Eugene Sharp. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
