Terry Wayne Armstrong, 62, of Midland passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Midland. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 3:00-5:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Terry was born on January 1, 1952 to James and Johnnie Sue Armstrong in Midland, TX. Terry was has the first baby born in Midland County in 1952. Terry married Shari Howell on June 20, 1980 in Odessa, TX. He loved hunting, firearms, gunsmithing and teaching others how to shoot. Terry was a World War II history buff and enjoyed reading WWII history books and watching documentaries. Terry’s first love was that for his family and friends. He also loved music and dogs. Terry worked for many years as an oil field chemical salesman with various companies. He later became a professional gunsmith and started his own business. He is survived by his wife, Shari Armstrong, son Eric Armstrong and wife Scharlena of Odessa, daughters Ashley Noblet and husband Matt of Lubbock and Alayne Armstrong of Midland. He is also survived by sister Melissa Hale and husband John Patric; brothers J.J. Armstrong, Ethan Clay Armstrong and wife Nichole; Kenneth Kevin Armstrong and wife Stacey; grandchildren Maddox Noblet and Cory, Kasyn, Keatyn, Corbyn and Kendyn Armstrong and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son Jared Armstrong; parents, James and Johnnie Sue Armstrong; and brother, Wesley Shaw Armstrong. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1132, Fairfax, VA, 22038.
