Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery 1620 N A St, Midland, TX.
Terry Lynn was born on January 28, 1954, in Odessa, Texas to Dorothy Dell Grimshaw Fly and Circy Lee Fly Jr. During her childhood she enjoyed playing outside with her siblings and neighborhood friends until the sun went down. Terry graduated from Lee High School in May of 1972 where she met her sweetheart Monty Charles Mansell. They later married on June 10, 1972, and had four daughters together. Monty and Terry had a true love story never going somewhere without the other and would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in June of this year. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, being involved in Girl Scouts as a child and adult, antique shopping, fishing, traveling, bird watching, and sewing. Terry was partnered with one of her best friends in a business called Meet Me at The Corner where they focused on interior design. During her childhood, her mother affectionately called her “Patty” because she was always comforting others by patting them. She formed many lifelong friendships, knew no strangers, and was always someone you could confidently tell your secrets to. Terry was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. During her adult life she enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always singing to and comforting the babies in the family and entertaining the children. Terry was exceptionally fond of her grandchildren, spending every moment of her free time with them, talking, playing, and teaching cooking techniques. She was known as Anny by her grandchildren. She wanted to be called Granny but the oldest couldn’t pronounce Granny and called her Anny. The name Anny stuck and from then on, all the grandkids and great grandkids called her “Anny”. She made each grandchild feel as if they were her favorite and you were always welcome as you were. Eventually, Terry and Monty settled in Ruidoso, New Mexico surrounded by nature and wildlife. Terry enjoyed sitting on the deck of her cabin with Monty watching the birds, drinking coffee, visiting with friends, and checking the news and weather.
