Terry Laine Camden was born January 2, 1960 to Markust Camden and Carol (Day) Camden. Weighing in at over 11 lbs., he was a big bundle of joy welcomed home by his two older brothers, Guy Dean Camden and Markust Lee Camden, Jr. He grew up in Richmond, Indiana and attended Richmond High School. On September 25, 1981 he married the love of his life, Marie Elizabeth Merkamp. During the early years of their marriage they lived in several states, but vowed to someday make Big Spring, Texas their home after first moving there in 1981. He was a stay at home dad of five children; three daughters, Brittany Daves, Tara Camden and Cloee Camden and two sons, Dean Camden and Ty Camden. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, bargain hunting, remodeling, telling people about Jesus and playing with grandkids. Terry made his dream a reality in 2001 when he moved his family to Big Spring, where they all still live. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son-in-law, Sandy Daves.Terry leaves behind a loving wife, and all of his children as well as a daughter-in-law, Amanda Camden; two granddaughters, Caylie and Alexandria Daves; one step grandson, Klaytin Long; one grandson, Christopher Holmes III and both of his brothers. In addition, he was anxiously awaiting the birth of two more grandchildren.Terry was a kind hearted, generous man who touched the lives of everyone he ever met. He would help anyone who needed help and was always faithful to Gods work. He was strong of heart and will. He had battled kidney disease since 2006. He even received a complete kidney transplant and kept up the fight. He went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2013 at Covenant Speciality Hospital in Lubbock. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 17, 2013, at the funeral home.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
