Teresa Barber

Teresa Barber, 54, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Robert Turner, minister of Anderson Street Church of Christ, officiating. She was born on July 9, 1955, in Big Spring, Texas and married Jackie Barber on February 12, 1977 in Paint Rock, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2008.Teresa was a lifetime resident of Big Spring, graduating from Big Spring High School in 1974. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.Survivors include two sons, Kaman Barber of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Donovan Barber of Big Spring; her mother, Verlene Atkinson of Big Spring; one brother, Roger Atkinson and wife, Mary Ellen of Big Spring; a niece, Ginger Atkinson of Dallas; a nephew, Greg Atkinson and wife, Angele of Gilbert, Arizona; and two great nephews, Braden and Caleb Atkinson of Gilbert, Arizona. She was also preceded in death by her father, Vernon Atkinson. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, % Carolyn Brooks, P.O.
